slack in throttle cable) and also found that it helped. I also checked the throttle plates and made sure that they were opening at the same time. There is a procedure described in the FSM for calibrating the operation of the two throttle plates. It requires a dial indicator, but I found that my driver side throttle plate was opening much later than the passenger side because there was far too much free play in the linkage. Check that and see if it helps.
